Kratom Research Points

Sep 18, 2025

Log & Taper It! uses a point system to help you track your progress and contribute to important research. To keep your sponsored access, you'll need to earn at least 3 dose points on 4 days out of every week.

Here's how you can earn points:

  • 1 point for simply logging a dose.
  • 1 point for adding a context tag (like "stress" or "work") and another effect tag (like "mood lift" or "anxiety relief") to that dose.
  • 1 point for including information about the strain you used (color, vendor, and strain) this will also help build a database of effects from users of particular products.

The goal is to encourage consistent, quality data, not to make you log every single dose. That's why you can only earn a maximum of 3 points per day for your logging activity, even if you take multiple doses.

You can also earn points by completing one-time surveys about your background and history. While these points don't count toward your weekly activity goal, they are a great way to contribute to the overall research.

This system ensures that those with free, sponsored access are active and engaged in the research, which keeps the system fair and effective for everyone.

In addition to the points you earn for daily dose tracking, Log & Taper It! offers a way to contribute to research through one-time surveys. These surveys are designed to provide researchers with valuable background information that helps them better understand the data you log. They cover a range of topics, including your demographics, medical and Kratom usage history, personal tapering goals, and other things missing from other Kratom Research Studies.

Each survey is worth a different number of points, which are awarded to your account as soon as you complete it. You can fill out any of the available surveys at your own pace, and they'll always be there for you to complete, even if you've been a user for a while. These survey points don't count towards your weekly activity requirement, but they are crucial for providing a more complete picture for the research and help support the entire community's efforts.

Take Action!
