Kratom Effects Tags

Sep 18, 2025

When you log a dose in Log & Taper It!, you can tag it with various effects to help you and researchers better understand your experience. These tags are broken down into four categories:

  • Positive Physical: This category includes tags for effects that are physically beneficial, like Energy, Pain-relief, and Relaxation. It also includes more specific physical sensations such as a feeling of Warmth or Tingling.
  • Positive Mental: Here, you'll find tags for the mental and emotional benefits of a dose. Common tags in this category are Mood-lift, Focus, and Anxiety-relief. You can also log more specific mental states like feeling Sociable, Confident, or even Introspective.
  • Negative Physical: This section is for any undesirable physical effects you experience. The most common tags here are Nausea, Dizziness, and Fatigue. You can also note less common effects like Wobbles (a signature kratom side effect), Sweating, or Muscle-aches.
  • Negative Mental: This category helps you track any negative mental or emotional side effects. This can include feeling Drowsy, Irritable, or Overwhelmed. You can also note things like Memory-fog, Racing-thoughts, or Apathy.
  • Usage Context: This final category isn't about effects but rather about the reason you took the dose. This is a crucial part of the research data. You can tag your dose with things like Work, Chronic-pain, Stress, or as part of your Morning-routine.

Tagging your doses with these effects provides a detailed record of your experience, which is essential for earning points and contributes to building a comprehensive dataset for kratom research.

The full set of available tags are currently as follows (leave a comment if you have some ideas for other tags, or tags that don't seem relavent!)
